This small game was a school project for AI. It has been done 100% by me in less than 48h.

While being quite simple it still involves multiple aspect of game development:

The player is controlled by point and click (or hold for continuous movement). Since I really like to have my games compatible with both PC and Mobile, the transition to touch screen is easy in this case.

Both the player and the AI Cats use the NavMesh for their movement.

The AI Cats are set up as a state machine with 5 distinct states.

There is a mini map to help the player figure out his environment.

There is a timer to chronometer how much time the player took to find all the cats.

The name of the player is saved at the start of the game to be reused at the end of the game.

The player can decide how many cats will be in the map. Each cat’s position is randomly assigned.

There is a small cutscene when a cat is rescued.

Both the player and the cats are animated.

There is a tutorial that is automatically displayed at the beginning of the game, and which is also available from the start menu.

And finally, there is a nice relaxing music to set the mood of the game.
